Grape: This wine is produced using 100% Sangiovese Grosso grapes. Originally thought to be a completely distinct grape native to the Montalcino area of Tuscany, it is a specific clonal variety of the Sangiovese family. This variety is distinguished by its larger grapes and thicker skin than the “regular” Sangiovese.
Color: Deep garnet
Aromas: dark berries, cherries, violet, sweet spices and balsamic
Flavors: oak, leather, plum, blueberry, dark cherry, vanilla
Body: Medium
Alcohol: 14.5%

Winery Notes: The Estate is situated in the locality of “Mercatali”, which during the 5th and 6th centuries marked the hub of a large annual market. It rises on the slope of a hill in the very heart of Tuscany, 300 meters above sea level near the famous “Brunello Road”.
