Wine:  Oniris Grillo Sicilia Duca di Salaparuta 2024

Grape:  This wine is produced using 100% Grillo grapes which is a native grape to Sicily.  Grillo originally had a leading role in producing Marsala, the sweet Sicilian fortified wine.  More recently, it is being used to produce a crisp, dry white wine.

Color: Straw yellow with a greenish tinge

Aromas: Grapefruit, jasmine, mango, papaya

Flavors: Peach, banana, citrus

Body:  Light +

Alcohol:  11%

Acid:  Medium +

Sweetness:  Dry

Tannins:  N/A

Balance:  Balanced wine with crisp acidity and an interesting slighter bitter finish

Serving Tips:  46° F, white wine glass, do not decant

Food Pairings:   Fish, shellfish, vegetable dishes


Aging:  can age up to 2 years

Winery Notes:  The vineyard producing the Grillo grapesis in NorthwesternSicily in the Salemi area, in the province of Trapani.  Here, wine is the backbone of a great cultural tradition.  The climate is characterized by mild winters and very dry summers.
