Winery Notes: The winery producing this wine is in the Campania wine region of southern Italy. From 1790 to the early 1900s, the Fusco family were a family of farmers from the hills of ancient Samnium (ancient name of southern Italy including Campania). In 1997, the family decided not to limit themselves to cultivating the vineyard but to produce wine. In 2001 the first bottles of Aglianico and Falanghina were marketed. Today, Il Poggio exports mainly to northern Europe, Canada, and the United States.
