Grape: The wine is produced using Viognier grapes. The grape is a green in color and thick-skinned grape, native to the northern Rhone wine region of France. It is cultivated throughout the world wherever white wine grapes are grown. Interestingly, it has DNA connections to both Syrah and Nebbiolo which are used to make full-bodied red wines.

Aromas: white flowers, orange blossoms, ripe apple, apricot, vanilla
Flavors: peach, apricot, pear, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple
Body: Medium ++

Winery Notes: The Viranel Winery is in Languedoc-Roussillon wine region of southern France near the Mediterranean Sea. The Viranel Chateau and vineyards have been owned by the same family since 1551. The site was once the location of a Gallo-Roman villa.
