Lew - Sommelier
I retired from Medidata Solutions May of 2018. My hobby for the last 35 years has been making wine. I have a 1/4 acre vineyard with 200 vines and 4 grape varieties. – Baco Noir, Marechal Foche, Cayuga, Aurore, I have made wine from the grapes from my vineyard as well as from purchased juice and grapes. I have made Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Amarone, Pinotage, Petit Verdot, Brunello, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Gewurztraminer, & White Zinfandel. I have also made a variety of fruit wines – plum , apple, blueberry, blackberry, cherry, and mango. Recently, I added Noiret vines to my vineyard. To add to my knowledge of wine, I attended the National Wine School in 2019 and successfully completed my Level III Sommelier certification in December of 2019.
